Project Implementation

KSEIP is being implemented by the Government of Kenya with support from the World Bank and FCDO until 2023. The three project components are: Strengthening Social Protection Delivery Systems; Increasing Access to Social and Economic Inclusion Interventions and Improving the Shock Responsiveness of Safety Net System. The two main implementing agencies are the Ministry of Public Service, Gender, Senior Citizens Affairs and Special Programmes through the State Department.

for Social Protection, Senior Citizens Affairs and Special Programmes, and the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA). The Ministry has overall responsibility for implementation with project coordination being undertaken through the National Social Protection Secretariat (NSPS). Implementation is in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other partners such as UNICEF, which is providing Technical Assistance support.
