Management of Social Protection Services Course

Be an Expert

Social Protection Management Course

The State Department  for  Social Protection  (SDSP) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Kenya School of Government (KSG) on the 7th of October, 2020. This partnership is set to improve the quality of social protection services in the country by

enhancing the knowledge and skills of social protection experts through a curriculum review.

Designed To

The Management of Social Protection Services curriculum is designed to build a pool of experts who possess the requisite knowledge and skills to support a comprehensive social protection system in Kenya. By doing so, this program will ensure that the most vulnerable members of society have access to the social protection services they require.

Piloting

To date, three pilot trainings have been conducted, which have laid the groundwork for the ongoing curriculum review workshop taking place in Naivasha. The main objective of this workshop is to evaluate and improve the content, structure, and effectiveness of the course, taking into consideration current best practices, educational standards, and the changing needs of our society.

Support

We are delighted to note that this initiative has received the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Food Programme (WFP). With their expertise in the field of social protection, we are confident that we will be able to create a well-rounded curriculum that meets the needs of learners and is in line with international best practices.

Curriculum Review

The curriculum review workshop is a crucial step towards achieving the goal of improving the quality of social protection services in Kenya. The curriculum will provide learners with the tools and knowledge they need to make a meaningful contribution to the development of the country`s social protection system. This will help to ensure that the most vulnerable members of society receive the care and support they require.

We are excited about the outcome of the curriculum review and the impact it will have on the quality of social protection services in Kenya. We appreciate the partnership between the SDSP, KSG, UNICEF, and WFP, and we are confident that this initiative will lead to a more comprehensive and effective social protection system that will benefit all Kenyans.
