About Us

The National Social Protection Secretariat is domiciled under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs. It was established in 2012 through the National Social Protection Policy,2011. The Secretariat is tasked with providing strategic leadership and management support to strengthen the governance structure of all social protection initiatives in Kenya. It guides and facilitates coordination and integration of social protection programmes in Kenya.
